THE GATHERING & VOWS
Skipping the traditional morning preparation entirely allowed the focus to shift exactly where it belonged: on the building, raw anticipation of the day. Deep within the sun-drenched East Sussex woods, guests arrived not to a stiff, formal receiving line, but to an open woodland clearing alive with color, eclectic style, and real emotion.
My approach here was completely immersive. Instead of standing back as a detached observer with a long lens, I moved through the trees as an active guest with a camera—capturing the candid laughter, the hugs, and the vibrant energy of a community coming together. This first chapter documents that slow-burn excitement as everyone took their seats beneath the timber pavilion, completely setting the stage for a deeply moving, unscripted canopy ceremony.
THE OPEN AIR & FESTIVAL VIBES
After the vows, the day just broke loose straight into the woods. To preserve the ecosystem of the forest, there was no confetti—just a free-spirited, bohemian gathering of friends who genuinely respect nature, dropping into a massive, free-flowing outdoor festival.
My approach here shifted completely into the thick of the crowd. I wanted to capture the actual grit and energy of the afternoon as it unfolded naturally under the trees. The next frames are completely natural, raw documentation of that atmosphere—drinks flowing, kids running through the glades, a relaxed BBQ truck feast, and the real momentum of a day that was allowed to just breathe outside.

TWILIGHT, CAKE & OPEN AIR PARTY
As the sun dipped below the tree line, the whole atmosphere under the canopy shifted. We moved out of the bright afternoon light and straight into the twilight for a completely relaxed cake cutting out in the open.
From there, the night just went full festival. No stuffy traditional DJ sets—just the raw, chaotic energy of an open-air silent disco under the stars. I stayed right in the middle of the crowd to capture the real momentum of the night, using creative ambient light and direct flash to document the pure, unposed euphoria of a proper forest rave.
